We at ÅÝܽ¶ÌÊÓƵ Germany are a team that likes to be active together outside working hours. We regularly organize joint or departmental team events, joint Christmas parties at different locations, take part in challenges such as company runs or the CrossdeLuxe and much more. At ÅÝܽ¶ÌÊÓƵ, each department organizes an annual team event, which is intended to strengthen the sense of togetherness on the one hand and simply be fun on the other. The team "Purchasing Steel/NonSteel" had decided to go on a paddle tour on the river Elbe. Purchasing was supported by our CEO Michael Heine and the "Export" team.
The tour was relatively challenging due to the weather conditions and the waves on the Elbe. Due to the optimal briefing by Mr. Bühnemann from the vacation village for paddling adventures it was nevertheless a very interesting experience in beautiful nature. A subsequent joint barbecue rounded off the nice team event.
A contemplative end to the year in Brehna: Our company Christmas party once again took the form of a small Christmas market this year. With hearty food from the barbecue, warming mulled wine and delicious waffles, everyone got their money's worth. There were also homemade gifts on offer, the proceeds of which will go to a local kindergarten and an animal shelter. The highlight was a comedian dressed as a chef, who provided a few laughs. Even if the weather didn't play along throughout, it was still an all-round successful event for all visitors!
In the last week of June, we said goodbye to two of our longest-serving and most valuable employees who were entering their well-deserved retirement.
Our long-serving managing director and sales manager for the North/East Europe cluster, Peter Schirmann, was bid farewell after an impressive 42 years with the company. As the longest-serving employee, he has played a key role in the history of our company in his respective positions. Since he started in 1982, he has always contributed to the successful completion of a project - from the laying of the foundation stone for the site in Brehna in 1991 to his last major project, the integration of the Italpannelli acquisition, now known as Trier Insulated Panels GmbH, into the ArcelorMittal Group. We will do everything in our power to continue to develop the company in his spirit.
We also said goodbye to our long-serving production employee Berno Seifert, who is retiring after 27 years with the company. Berno Seifert was an integral part of our team and always gave his best in various departments such as the edging department, the sandwich plant, profiling and custom-made products. His flexibility and commitment were exemplary and invaluable. We thank him for his loyal and dedicated work.
On behalf of the entire company, we would like to thank both of them from the bottom of our hearts for their many years of loyalty and tireless commitment. We wish them all the best, health and happiness for their future.
